Xylitol danger for dogs

Just sharing some important information this morning that you may not be aware of.

If you keep sugar free gum, candy or are watching your weight and buying products like treats that are lower calorie, please check the ingredients… xylitol is popping up in more and more products. If you are like me and share your food with your dogs you want to make sure you are keeping them safe & healthy..

Don’t leave your sugar free breath mints or gum on tables where they can possibly reach them, and if you are throwing containers in the trash make sure those are covered or put out of their reach. Just because your dog doesn’t usually take things without permission or get in the trash doesn’t mean that someday it won’t happen. Dogs, just liked people, sometimes give in to temptation… and you definitely don’t need that one moment of their weakness to turn into the end of their life!

Not trying to be a Debbie Downer today I just think this is very important 🙂
